Using Locket

Onboarding

This walkthrough will show you how to install and use Locket on Shopify.

Password

With Locket, we have made one password for all your Locket products, this enables you to easily maintain and change the the password when you see fit.



Setting a Password

  1. 1. Go to the Locket Home page
  2. 2. Change the Password text box
  3. 3. Click “Submit new Password” button


Vendors

Product vendors are the supplier where a product is supplied to you from. A vendor may provide one or many products for your store.


With Locket, you can target all the products under a vendor, because if you have rules for selling particular products, they are likely enforced from the vendor.





Adding Vendors

  1. 1. Go to the Vendors page
  2. 2. Under the “Add Vendors” section, you will see a list of the Product vendors on your shop
  3. 3. Tick one or more checkboxes next to the vendors
  4. 4. Click the “Add selected Vendors to Locket” button
  5. 5. You will notice the selected vendors are now in the “Current vendors locked” section


Removing Vendors

  1. 1. Go to the Vendors page
  2. 2. Under the “Current vendors locked” section, you will see a list of the Product vendors already in the Locket
  3. 3. Next to the Vendor you would like to remove, click the cross button next to it to remove
  4. 4. Click yes on the confirmation


Collections

You can group your products into collections to make it easier for customers to find them by category.


With Locket, if you have a collection that requires password protection, we can target that collection and lock it down.





Adding Collections

  1. 1. Go to the Collections page
  2. 2. Click the “Add collections” button
  3. 3. Select a collection in the list
  4. 4. You will notice the collections(s) have been added to the current list


Removing Collections

  1. 1. Go to the Collections page
  2. 2. Locate the collection you wish to remove
  3. 3. Click the cross beside the collection
  4. 4. Click yes on the confirmation box


Products

Products are the brick and mortar building blocks of what your store is built on. But not all products are built the same, and some products require password protection.


With Locket, if you only require password protection for indiviual products, you can do that here.


Also, you can use Shopify's products add tag feature to password protect products, All you need is to add the tag ""Locket Locked"" to the product.





Adding Products Individually

  1. 1. Go to the Products page
  2. 2. Click the “Add products” button
  3. 3. Select one or many products in the list
  4. 4. Please wait one to two minutes for changes to occur
  5. 5. Go to the store front and navigate to the products that you have selected


Removing Products Individually

  1. 1. Go to the Products page
  2. 2. Tick on the products that you want to remove
  3. 3. Click the “Remove password protection” button
  4. 4. Please wait one to two minutes for changes to occur


Customers

Customers are the most important part of your shop, and making them have a seamless and enjoyable experience on your store should be a high priority.


With Locket, for those custoemrs who are frequent visitors, you can add them to an exemptions list that removes the password protection for their experience. But keep in mind, these customers will need to have an account on your store.





Adding customers to the exemptions list

  1. 1. Go to Customers page
  2. 2. Select the customers you wish to exempt
  3. 3. Click on the “Add customer to exemption list” button
  4. 4. Please wait one to two minutes for changes to occur
  5. 5. The customers appear in the exemption list


Removing customers from exemptions list

  1. 1. Go to Customers page
  2. 2. Select the customers you wish to remove
  3. 3. Click the “Remove customer from exemption list” button
  4. 4. Please wait one to two minutes for changes to occur


Settings

Here we are providing an easy admin screen for you to change settings for Locket.





Introductory Text

  1. 1. Go to the Settings page
  2. 2. Locate the Introductory section
  3. 3. Change the text to what ever you would like to display before the password box
  4. note: to use the rich text features, you will need to highlight the text and then click the rich text buttons, such as bold.
  5. 4. Click the update button
